Lawmen: Bass Reeves is the latest spinoff from the Yellowstone franchise, created by Taylor Sheridan. It follows the life of Bass Reeves, the first Black Deputy U.S. Marshall to serve west of the Mississippi River. The series aims to tell the real-life history of one of the most fascinating figures of the Old West. It will debut on Paramount+ in 2023 and will feature a star-studded cast, including David Oyelowo as Bass Reeves. The show will move away from the original Yellowstone series, showcasing a new direction for Sheridan's Western universe.
