Lauren Cohan's character Maggie left the cast of The Walking Dead during season 9 due to a pay dispute with producers and her commitment to starring in the ABC spy comedy pilot Whiskey Cavalier. However, Cohan ultimately reached a deal for a limited return in season 10. Her character returned after being absent during a time jump, going off with Georgie to build a new community. She later reinserted herself into the mix and formed a contentious alliance with Negan before working together to overcome the Reapers. Maggie appeared until the end of the series, and will continue her story alongside Negan in the upcoming spinoff series, Walking Dead: Dead City.
