The Walking Dead's new spinoff, "The Ones Who Live," featuring the return of Rick Grimes and Michonne, is set to continue the franchise's mistake of not killing off major characters. 

The previous spinoffs, "Dead City" and "Daryl Dixon," received positive reviews but lacked serious jeopardy. With the return of Rick and Michonne, it is unlikely that either character will be killed off. This trend of main characters surviving the spinoffs may become predictable and tiresome for viewers.
