Outlander season 7, episode 5 confirms Jamie's worries about Fort Ticonderoga being vulnerable. The episode introduces Simon Fraser of Balnain, a relative of Jamie, who fought for the English in the American Revolution. Simon's knowledge of using the terrain gives him an advantage against the Continental Army. Simon Fraser's connection to Jamie is through Jamie's grandfather, Simon of Lovat. In the books, Simon's death allows Jamie and Claire to continue their journey to Scotland. Hopefully, Outlander season 7 will soon allow Jamie and Claire to make their way to Scotland.
