Ed Asner, the legendary character actor, played Chuck Kennedy, a mentor to Commissioner Frank Reagan, on Season 10, Episode 15 of "Blue Bloods." In the episode titled "Vested Interests," Frank reconnects with Chuck after many years, finding him in a less healthy state. After Chuck's house is burgled and he is attacked, Frank tries to help him. Eventually, the Reagan family finds a solution to assist Chuck. Ed Asner, known for his role as Lou Grant on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," had a prolific career with over 400 credits and won 7 Emmy awards. He continued performing until his death in 2021 at the age of 91.
