The Walking Dead put an end to any possibility of a romance between Maggie and Negan in its final season. Despite some sex appeal underlying their interactions, the revelation of Negan's marriage to Annie ruled out any chance of a relationship with Maggie. Negan's love for his wife and his desire to atone for past sins made it unlikely he would forsake her for Maggie. The idea of a Maggie and Negan romance was dead on arrival and would have been a disservice to Glenn's memory. Fortunately, The Walking Dead seemed to be in agreement with its audience on this matter. The spinoff series, The Walking Dead: Dead City, is set to premiere soon.
