Yellowstone 1923 star, Brandon Sklenar, has revealed that season 2 could be the last for the franchise. Sklenar plays Spencer Dutton in the prequel series and says that he thinks of it as "one piece", but unfortunately, that piece might be ending earlier than fans had hoped.

The creator, Taylor Sheridan, had extended the show's run after it was only meant to be one season, but now it seems unlikely that it will go further than a second outing. However, the franchise will continue to expand with several spin-offs in the works, including an untitled project with Matthew McConaughey. Yellowstone is available to watch on Paramount+.
