CBS has renewed the long-running cop drama series Blue Bloods for a 14th season after the cast and producers agreed to take a 25% pay cut. The reduction was made to keep the show running and ensure that hundreds of production staff members will have employment for another season. Blue Bloods is CBS's second-longest-running current scripted series, with only NCIS having aired longer. The series has been a cash cow for Paramount Global due to rich syndication and international deals. It continues to be one of CBS's most-watched originals, averaging more than 9.5 million viewers per episode.
