Yellowstone prequel series "1883" will not be returning for a second season, according to creator Taylor Sheridan. The show was intended to be a ten-hour limited series, and the finale marked the end of the story for the Dutton family. Sheridan stated that he wanted to create a close-ended 10-hour movie. However, a separate spin-off titled "1923" set in the era of the Great Depression has been announced. This spin-off will feature stars Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford.
