The finale of "1923" Season 1 sees Teonna badly beaten and Hank killed in a battle with two priests. She wakes up in the care of her father and Hank's son, but Father Renaud joins the hunt for her and reveals that her cousin has passed.

They plan to go South to seek safety with a neighboring tribe, but Renaud beats them to their destination by taking a train. Teonna has seen much suffering and must now face a vengeful Renaud and his men. The season ends with her still not yet escaped, leaving viewers eagerly anticipating the next season.
