"Blue Bloods" actor Steve Schirripa shared his thoughts on the idea of his character, Anthony, getting romantically involved with Erin, played by Bridget Moynahan. He believes it would ruin the chemistry and dynamic between them. Schirripa also pointed out that Erin is out of Anthony's league and that their relationship works best as a boss-employee dynamic with Anthony being protective of Erin. He doesn't see a romantic relationship between them happening and thinks it wouldn't be a good idea for the storyline.
