After negotiations earlier this year, CBS has renewed the hit cop drama Blue Bloods for a 14th season. However, reports suggest that the cast had to agree to pay cuts of up to 25% for some above-the-line talent, including actors, in order for the show to be renewed. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that the cast and producers eventually agreed to the 25% pay cut to ensure the show's continuation.
Despite uncertainties about whether the show would continue, its success has never been in question. It has remained the most-watched primetime program on Fridays since 2010 and is currently the third most-watched broadcast drama with 9.54 million viewers, according to Deadline.
