In the penultimate episode of The Walking Dead, the Commonwealth governor accidentally shoots Judith Grimes with an assault rifle during a shootout. Daryl carries the unconscious Judith to the medical clinic while fighting off walkers. Meanwhile, Negan, Maggie, and others plan to overthrow Governor Pamela Milton. Mercer, a Commonwealth military commander who switched sides, helps them. Outside, a massive horde of walkers is led towards the Commonwealth, causing chaos. In the end, Mercer is arrested, and the walls of the compound are believed to hold against the incoming herd. The series finale is set to air next Sunday on AMC.
