Actress Lauren Lyle, known for her role in Outlander, stars in the new movie Mercy Falls. She plays the character Rhona, who goes on a trip to the Scottish wilderness with friends but experiences a fatal accident that leads to murder and a fight for survival. Lauren served as an executive producer for the film. She mentioned that the shoot was smaller compared to her previous projects, but the Scottish setting reminded her of Outlander, even though it was colder. Lauren also revealed that she almost got hypothermia during the shoot. It is unclear if she will return to Outlander for its final season. Sam Heughan and Sophie Skelton, her Outlander co-stars, have also taken on new roles. Mercy Falls is currently in UK cinemas and will be available digitally on November 9.
