The upcoming seventh season of Outlander will draw inspiration from Diana Gabaldon's novels A Breath of Snow and Ashes and An Echo in the Bone. In An Echo in the Bone, the character Percy Beauchamp is introduced, which leads Claire Fraser to explore her family history. Despite being an English character, Claire has a French surname, Beauchamp, which she used as a cover story when she first traveled back in time. The reason for her French surname and her family's connection to France and England may be explored in future seasons. Outlander season seven is set to premiere later this year.
