How Bad Negan Can Return In The Walking Dead's Spinoff

In The Walking Dead: Dead City spinoff, Negan and Maggie travel to New York to rescue Maggie's son Hershel. However, Negan's actor, Jeffrey Dean Morgan, has hinted that his character might revert to his old villainous ways in the spinoff. If this happens, Annie's death could be the reason for Negan's personality walk-back. The death of his previous wife, Lucille, turned Negan bad in the first place, and the death of Annie could tip him over the edge once again. If written well, it could be the final test of Negan's transformation and prove that he has truly overcome his past actions. Otherwise, it would trample over his hard-earned character journey.
