After Kevin Costner's departure from Yellowstone following season 5, the series will end in November. A new sequel series from creator Taylor Sheridan is set to follow by the end of this year, with Matthew McConaughey rumored to lead the cast. The new series will premiere in December on Paramount Network and later on Paramount+. The first half of season 5 broke records with over 17 million viewers. Costner's participation in the remaining episodes of season 5 is uncertain.
