Actress Kristin Atherton has been confirmed as the replacement for Laura Donnelley in the role of Jenny Murray in Outlander season seven, part two. The casting director, Suzanne Smith, spoke about Atherton clinching the part and how she fits the character of Jamie Fraser's younger sister. Smith also discussed the challenges of recasting and the importance of capturing the essence of the original actor or character. She is now working on season eight of Outlander, as well as the prequel series and other projects.
