Paramount Network's hit TV series, Yellowstone, has announced the air date for the second half of its fifth season. The show recently concluded its latest set of episodes and confirmed that the series will return in the summer of 2023. The season 5 premiere of Yellowstone broke ratings records, attracting over 12.1 million viewers and showing double-digit growth across all demographics compared to the season 4 finale. Actor Cole Hauser, who plays Rip Wheeler, previously revealed that the show would continue beyond the current season, and an executive confirmed this news, stating that co-creator Taylor Sheridan was already working on the next season.

Among the recent changes in the show, musician Lainey Wilson joined the cast as the character Abby, making her debut in the season 5 premiere. Wilson revealed that the role was written specifically for her by Sheridan. She also released her song "Smell Like Smoke" as part of the show's soundtrack. Fans can catch up on the latest prequel to Yellowstone, titled 1923, which stars Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. The series follows the popular prequel 1883, featuring Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, and new episodes are currently being released on Paramount+. Despite the wait for the return of Yellowstone's fifth season, fans can enjoy these prequels during the interim period.
