The sixth season of Outlander concluded with the worst possible outcome for the Frasers after Claire (played by Caitriona Balfe) and Jamie (Sam Heughan) were separated by hundreds of miles. Thankfully, the lead actor for the Starz series Sam has just assured fans they don't need to worry about Jamie's fate heading into season seven.

Sam has confirmed Jamie is thankfully still alive and well when fans eventually tune into Outlander again.

Production is currently underway on an extended seventh outing following season six, which was shortened due to Covid restrictions.

Although a release date has yet to be confirmed by Starz, the Fraser clan is hoped to return to screens by the end of next year.
