Keith Morrison married Suzanne Perry in 1981 when her son Matthew Perry, best known for his role as Chandler Bing on Friends, was 12 years old. Suzanne, a Canadian, had a successful career in journalism and even worked as the press secretary for former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. She and Keith already had one child each from previous relationships when they met. The couple went on to have four more children together: Caitlin, Emily, Will, and Madeline.

Matthew's relationship with his stepfather was close, and Keith was by his side during his struggles with addiction. Matthew battled a dependency on Vicodin after a jet ski accident in 1997 but eventually sought help and got sober with the support of his parents.

Suzanne and Keith created a blended family that brought them much joy. Despite feeling like an outsider at times, Matthew credited his younger siblings for teaching him the love he had for children. The Perry family faced the tragic loss of Matthew in 2023 and expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love from fans.

Through it all, Suzanne has remained a strong presence in her family's lives. She has been described as intelligent, focused, and talented, and her career in Canada and her role as a mother to her children have been instrumental in shaping their lives.
