In Outlander season 7, episode 7, Rob Cameron's plan unfolds and Roger discovers that Jemmy's claims about the Nuckelavee are true. He also recognizes the intruder as his ancestor, William Buccleigh Mackenzie. Roger confronts Buck and they work through their troubled past. It is revealed that Roger and Buck will travel back in time together to find Jemmy, setting up a new adventure. This journey reunites them with important characters from their fathers' lives. However, their time-traveling efforts do not lead to finding Jemmy in the 8th book of Outlander. Instead, it impacts Roger's own survival during World War II.
