Donnie Wahlberg, who plays Danny Reagan on the CBS drama Blue Bloods, expressed his concern about the possibility of the show getting canceled without a proper ending. He stated that the loyal fans of the show would be outraged if it ended abruptly and that they are like an extended family. Wahlberg believed that the show would likely have at least another season. Eventually, it was reported that the cast and producing team agreed to a 25 percent pay cut in order to secure the renewal. Wahlberg is also executive producing the season 5 return of Very Scary People, which he believes Blue Bloods prepared the audience for.
