The Walking Dead: Dead City season 2 needs to include Negan's family to avoid ruining his character development. In season 11, Negan finds happiness with Annie and their child, but in the spinoff, he leaves them behind.

 His family is important to his redemption arc and strengthens his morality and sense of purpose. Maggie could play a key role in connecting Negan's family to the spinoff, helping her understand his importance and potentially ending her revenge arc. 

Undoing Negan's redemption would undermine his growth, so his brutal leadership under the Dama's control should end.
