The Walking Dead spinoffs have had their ups and downs. While some have been successful in expanding the universe and engaging audiences, others have fallen short due to poor character development and uninteresting storylines. The lowest-ranking spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead: Passage, was forgettable and lacked fully fleshed-out characters. Fear the Walking Dead: Flight 462, on the other hand, had an interesting concept but ultimately didn't offer much that was memorable. Fear the Walking Dead: Dead in the Water provided more character development but still didn't have enough impact. The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Tales of the Walking Dead, and The Walking Dead: Dead City all offered more engaging storylines and character arcs. However, Fear the Walking Dead stands out as the best spinoff, providing a pre-outbreak perspective and introducing compelling characters and plot twists.
