In the series finale of The Walking Dead, Daryl Dixon helps defeat Pamela Milton and save the Commonwealth. Maggie and Negan initially plan to kill Pamela, but ultimately choose not to. Rosita dies from a walker bite, but has heartwarming final moments with Eugene. A year later, Ezekiel is the new Governor of the Commonwealth, Eugene and Max have a child named Rosie, and Maggie leads a rebuilt Hilltop community. Many characters are in relationships, but Daryl remains a nomad. Oceanside's status is unclear, but Judith receives a compass back from Negan, indicating he has settled on a new direction.
