2023/05/22
Donnie Wahlberg started his acting career in 1996 with roles in "Ransom" and "Bullet." He gained notoriety for his role in M. Night Shyamalan's "The Sixth Sense" in 1999. However, Wahlberg was initially known as a member of the boy band New Kids On The Block, which he joined in 1984 at the age of 15. After a decade with the band, which made $115 million according to Inside Edition, Wahlberg decided to pursue an acting career.
His most prominent work has been on the CBS crime drama "Blue Bloods," where he has played Danny Reagan for 13 seasons and 260 episodes.
Despite facing many bad guys on the show, he still hopes to face one more: one of his former NKOTB bandmates. Wahlberg thinks that Joey McIntyre, the youngest member of the group, would make an excellent guest star on "Blue Bloods," even suggesting that he could play a villain. However, Wahlberg also acknowledged that some fans might not appreciate him beating up on one of his former bandmates.
