The latest season of Outlander is currently airing and one character fans have been the most excited to see is the adult version of the son that Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) fathered in season three.
Well, the second episode of season seven introduced viewers to the adult version of Jamie's son, William Ransom, as Brianna (Sophie Skelton) was introduced to Lieutenant Lord Ellesmere, who just so happens to be William all grown up.
But who is William Ransom? And who plays him in season seven?
William Ransom is the secret illegitimate son of Geneva Dunsany (Hannah James) and Jamie.
But since the age of six, he has been raised by Lord John Grey (David Berry), his legal guardian and the husband of Geneva's younger sister Isobel (Tanya Reynolds).Despite appearances in season three and four as a child, season seven sees William appear as an adult and a soldier in the British army.
William tells Brianna that his "regiment is here to help quell the trouble."
With William fighting for the British, it seems possible that the opposing side of the rebels, of which Jamie and the Fraser clan are a part of, could end up at war with him at some point.
When discussing his time on the historical drama, Charles revealed exclusively to Express.
