Andrew Lincoln's Rick Grimes will face his most complex rival yet in the upcoming spinoff series, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live. Played by Terry O'Quinn, Major General Beale is a military man who is determined to ensure the survival of his city, even if it means making tough decisions. Unlike many of Rick's past enemies, Beale is not power-obsessed or self-serving. 

He is reasonable and level-headed, but also lacks remorse and has no limits. This presents a new challenge for Rick, as he has never faced a main villain who advocates for a larger purpose like the CRM does. Beale's leadership and the loyalty he commands among his followers suggest that Rick will need to employ new tactics to thwart him. With about 2,000 troops under Beale's command, Rick will have to strategize and gather intel in a covert manner. The spinoff premieres on February 25, 2024, on AMC and AMC+.
